In the church, the body of Christ, there are many members. Each has a part to play, a God-given role to carry out.
Think about the bellybuttons.
There are many kinds.
Some are deep.
Some are shallow.
Some are unusual. They stick out.
At one time, they were vital.
They were important.
They were literally a conduit of life to the church.
They don’t do much at present.
They have served their purpose.
It would be easy to think that you don’t need them anymore.
But take a moment– only a moment– to think.
How much you would miss your bellybutton if it were gone?
